سوچتا ہوں ارشد صاحب کو بتاؤں، جو دوست ہیں، اور سائییکالوجسٹ اور ہپناتھیراپسٹ بھی، اور پوچھوں کیا مطلب ہے ان کا۔ مگر پھر خیال آتا ہے، آزمائش پر تو پورا اتر جاتا ہوں، پوچھنے کی کیا ضرورت۔
یہ عجیب و غریب خواب ہیں۔ ان دیکھے رستے، پہاڑ، گلیاں، کثیرمنزلہ مکانوں، زینوں اور سیڑھیوں کا سلسلہ۔ گڑھوں سے بھری سڑکیں۔ اور ناسازگار حالات۔
ہر جگہ مشکل درپیش ہوتی ہے، اور میں ہمت ہار جاتا ہوں، مگر پھر کوشش کرتا ہوں، اور منزل پا لیتا ہوں۔
بلکہ میں نے جو کہانیاں لکھیں، ان میں سے کئی ایک خوابوں نے تراش کر دیں مجھے۔

This writing too intends to discuss afresh some such propositions which relates to the affairs of the governments. For instance, whether governments are justified in keeping various types of information secret. In Pakistan and maybe in other such countries also, this is an accepted truth. People outside governments than those inside seem more convinced in this regard. That is to be more loyalist than the king. As is the case, in contrast to the ordinary people, the elitist both inside and outside governments are to be blamed for this myth. Countries may be likened to individuals who are resourceless and in order to grow and progress need help from their near ones, dear ones or they borrow from a professional lender. That may be understood as the reality of setting-up a business for which capital is a sine qua non. Such attempts of likening countries with individuals appear quite promising, but are paradoxical. The case of Warren Buffet may be used, for instance, for Pakistan to follow. Is it so? Or it tears apart the likeness between both?
In the first place, individuals are individuals, and countries are countries. One cannot be both.
