لیکن اس چیز سے درگزر کیا جا سکتا ہے۔ کیونکہ جیسا کہ دنیا بھر میں سمجھا جاتا ہے، یہی طاقتیں پاکستان میں نہ صرف بیشتر حکومتیں بنانے اور ہٹانے کے پیچھے کارفرما ہوتی ہیں، بلکہ اِس یا اُس سیاسی جماعت کو صفحۂ ہستی سے مٹانے کے لیے بھی برسرِ پیکار رہتی ہیں، تو ایسے میں کوئی سیاسی جماعت اگر اپنی بقا کے لیے پیچھے ہٹتی ہے، اور ان طاقتوں کے ساتھ مصالحت کرتی ہے، تو اس کے لیے اتنی گنجائش نکالنا مناسب ہو گا۔ لیکن اس سے زیادہ قطعاً نہیں۔
مثلاً غالباً ذوالفقارعلی بھٹو کو موقع نہیں ملا، ورنہ وہ بھی جلاوطن ہو سکتے تھے، اور اپنی جان بچا سکتے تھے۔
